Mr. Lucks is a principal environmental attorney and scientist with over 25 years of regulatory compliance and sustainability experience. He advises clients on pollution prevention and sustainability strategies after exploring the multimedia regulatory compliance implications of these approaches. He also provides legal review and analysis for a variety of laws and regulations affecting the environmental permitting process and environmental auditing compliance.

 

Susan SakakiSusan Sakaki, Senior Program Manager

Susan Sakaki has worked in the environmental management field for 30 years. She is experienced in regulatory compliance and management, with a broad understanding of the regulatory framework (air, water, solid and hazardous materials/waste management laws) as well as the planning programs (NEPA, infrastructure development, public participation). She also offers expertise in strategic planning, meeting facilitation, communication, and public outreach, and training. Recent project work has focused on pollution prevention and sustainable development.

Robert Bray, Senior Compliance Specialist

Mr. Bray has 24 years of experience in regulatory compliance and environmental, health and safety management, helping clients from the petrochemical, aerospace, consumer product manufacturing, primary and secondary metals, pharmaceutical, food, printing and utility industries understand the complex and ever-changing environmental regulations and policies. Mr. Bray's specific environmental, health and safety management experience includes assisting several large corporations in the design and implementation of auditing programs and environmental management systems by conducting training, developing state- and industry-specific audit protocols, developing audit report formats, designing databases to store and track audit information, and leading audit teams in the field.

Jon Elliott, JD, Senior Attorney/Engineer

Jon Elliott has over 25 years of professional EH&S compliance and policy experience and is the founder and President of Touchstone Environmental, Inc. His professional work combines analyzing all EH&S requirements applicable in a jurisdiction or to a specific client. He explains those requirements, individually and in combination -- in books, training courses and meetings with clients and regulators, integrating those requirements into workable enforcement or compliance programs, and preparing compliance programs and individual program elements for implementation by clients, or teaching clients to do so themselves.

Roberto Piccioni, EH&S Sustainability Professional

Roberto Piccioni is an environment, health & safety (EHS) and sustainability professional and has worked for Genentech, a biotech giant; Baxter International, a global healthcare products & therapies company; and Beckman Instruments, a medical device manufacturer. During his industry career, he has assumed increasingly complex EHS and sustainability roles and worked on EHS solutions in a variety of countries in Europe, Central and South America, as well as China and India. He coached and audited more than 25 different factories toward EHS regulatory compliance and management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) integration while at Baxter and Genetech. In the last 10 years, he has spent an increasing amount of time working on sustainability issues. He has led sustainability integration efforts and external sustainability reporting techniques successfully at Baxter and Genentech. Mr. Piccioni completed a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and Manufacturing Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management. Roberto is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a RAB-certified Environmental Management System Auditor, and a Lean / DMAIC Green Belt. He teaches Ecological Economics and Sustainability Operations classes in the Green MBA program at Dominican University.

Ann Blake is an independent consultant working with governments, occupational heath, public health and environmental advocates to find viable alternatives to toxic chemicals in manufacturing and consumer products. Dr. Blake's work covers toxics reduction strategies from product content screening and environmentally preferable purchasing to drafting local, national and international legislation and chemicals policies. Prior to consulting, Dr. Blake worked for nine years at the California Environmental Protection Agency's Department of Toxic Substances Control as a hazardous waste inspector, local agency trainer, and Pollution Prevention Coordinator. Dr. Blake has a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in molecular genetics and neural development from the University of Oregon.

Douglas Hileman has more than 30 years of experience in a broad range of environmental, health, safety (EHS), Sustainability and related risk management issues, including nine years of industry experience and nearly six years at a Big 4 public accounting firm. His areas of expertise include: EHS governance, risk and compliance (GRC); financial reporting and disclosure of environmental issues, Sustainability programs and reporting (internal and external); new and emerging regulations and risks (including climate change); performance metrics, EHS/Sustainability auditing, EHS/Sustainability transaction and integration support; business continuity planning, focused enterprise risk assessments, benchmarking surveys, stakeholder engagement, expert witness (testifying and non-testifying). He has supported clients in nearly every sector, and throughout the U.S. and in Europe, Russia, and Latin America. He is particularly adept at providing business perspective on EHS issues, and working with teams including legal, Internal Audit, CEO/CFOs, Risk Management, Accounting, Business Strategy, Supply Chain/Procurement and others. Lynette Stetler JDLynette Stetler, JD, Environmental Regulatory Specialist

Lynette ("Lynn") Stetler is an attorney and Environmental Regulatory Specialist with Beyond Compliance. She holds a JD from U.C. Hastings School of Law and a B.S. degree in Conservation and Resource Studies with an emphasis in International Environmental Policy and Law from U.C. Berkeley. Lynette provides regulatory support for environmental compliance audits of facilities including academic institutions, manufacturers, electric utilities, and municipal water systems. She helps clients comply with the terms and conditions of various permits and provides regulatory assessments of audit findings. Lynette also assists clients with applying for environmental permits from local and regional agencies, develops hazardous material business plans, and reviews a wide range of environmental plans for compliance with environmental regulatory standards. As well, Lynette develops training curriculum on such updates, as well as develops customized training curriculum on hazardous waste and hazardous materials management and compliance. Lynette is a member of the California State Bar Environmental Legislation Committee.
